Day 7 - Travel Home

Wednesday, May 3rd, 2006

We have had a great reception coming back and would like to thank our supporters and sponsors for our fantastic result. We travelled back on the boat on Monday night and spent the evening with the Racesport Technicians from Porsche Centre Melbourne.

Thats it for our targa 2006 year. We finished 53rd outright, 1st in Category and Class. Another successful year and the car is in one piece.

Peter, Paul (Navigator), Darren, Dave and Matt - Thanks Guys

Travelling back from hobart to Devonport, Paul slept ….

On the boat having dinner and a view drinks.

Ready to leave the boat, back to Melbourne, Families and Work… until next year

Day 6 - “Finish”

Monday, May 1st, 2006

Sorry we couldn’t bring you an update of day 4 and 5 until now. We arrived safely in Hobart after day 5 and a little rain in the afternoon. Unfortunately not enough to help push us through the pack. We believe we have finished around 50th overall, 3rd in early modern, and 1st in Category 7 standard and 1st in class. That wasn’t to hard considering the number in class. We burnt the midnight oil and partied with all of those, passed our stories about last day issues, incidents and close calls.

We are happy again to be intact and in hobart unscratched. We travel back to Devonport today for the boat tonight, to be back in Melbourne tomorrow morning ….. Another targa over I will post some pictures from day 4 and 5 in the coming days.

Paul and I thankyou for your support over the past week, and look forward to our 2007 campaign.
